Any advantage of opening an account on USCIS website to receive automatic case status updates? or I don't need to do that if I keep checking the status online by myself?
They send you and email if something changes, nice if you have a Blackberry/pda
If you have multiple cases i-129, i-131, i-140, i-485 you can see them all on one page, I find that easier to see LUDs in particular the "soft" non-action ones, but it's nice to know the file was touched.

Yes, I saw a soft LUD on all my 485-Apps as well as previously approved APs and EADs on 9/14/09.

hi,
My company filed for H1B Extension as it is expiring in november 2009. How much time will it take to get the H1B extension approved ? Once i get H1B extension(probably for 1 year or 3 years), then should i go for H1B stamping, if so, i have to go to India for H1B Stamping. Let me know...

I received an email alert regarding "Notice returned undeliverable" yesterday...but the message says notice was returned on Nov 5, 2007. Why did the status change occur so late? Should I be concerned?

I need urgent help please.
I am on 8th year of my H-1B, expiring on July-2008.
I am on EB3 Nebraska, PD 07/2003.
I-140 pending � RFE on Education (3 years degree) replied on December-2007
EAD approved on September-2007.
I485 aplied on july-2-2007
Just got an email from Cris that my I485 was denied. I don�t know the reason.
My I140 is still pending � almost 4 months after my attorney replied the I140 RFE.
Today I am writing this in order to understand my available options and strategy to this situation.
I have less than 2 months on H-1(b).
What are my options?
Anybody in the same situation?

The Supreme Court issued its decision in the Arizona business license/e-Verification law of 2007 and by a 5-3 margin has upheld the law. The Obama administration announced to use cutting-edge technologies to revamp the entire US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), so as to not only reduce the paperwork, but also the backlog and bring in more transparency into the system.
US President Barack Obama told a select bi-partisan group of Congressmen that such a system would be in place in the next 90 days, in which the USCIS will launch a vastly improved website.
This is likely to help thousands of Indian Americans every year who apply for permanent residency or Green Card, citizenship or approach USCIS for various immigration issues, but have to experience an agonizing wait.
