I made address changes to pending EAD renewal and I-485 yesterday in the afternoon for myself and spouse. Same day later in the evening I got email saying CPO for EAD renewal. This is a story of 8/20/2008.
I tried called 800 number and was told that they can't verify that address was successfully changed on the application.THey don't have access to personal information. They are asking me to take Inforpass to verify the address.
There is no LUD on either I-485 or EAD renewal after address change. Is LUD an indication that address change has been done? There are no infopass available for 2 months ( I will keep checking if somebody cancels )
Does anybody has any pointer as to how I can verify address change without infopass

I have an issue with my recent H1B approval on Feb'2010. I am seeking your advice in this regard.
I have been in H1B since 11/01/2005 , entered US on 04/20/2006 and my PERM has been already approved with a PD of 03/15/2009. My current I 94 is expiring on 4/13/2010. Recently I got an H1B extension approval of just 1 year (4/13/2010 to 4/13/2011) , which is less than actual 6 years with approved PERM.
Do you think that any appeal or ammendent can be done to extend the approval period? With my H1B petition I had to enclose a client engagement letter which confirmed my engagement but didn�t have any engagement end date there.
If you think that any appeal or ammendent can be done with USCIS, then kindly advise me accordingly. Thanks

Good MOrning All I have 2 questions:
1.) My littel sister is living with a Looser for the past 10 teays and he refuse to file for her Residency. So got pregnat last year and now has a baby by him. Is there anything she can do to get her residency in this situation?
2.) I am married to a US citizen. I have a Pending case with USCIS however it has been draging out for too long. I wanted to file for my Residency using my Current marriage. She is a US citizen however dose anyone know if there is a limit or time frame when a US citizen can file for someone else? She was married before and filed for her X-husband residency. Can she file me now without any problem?

I'm looking for PHP or ActionScript work. I'm not a designer in any sense of the word, so I can't do any graphical work. I'm just starting out, so my protfolio is lacking but I have done several full blown CMSs lately. I've never gotten a problem I couldn't solve, I just need to prove myself.

Friends I need an opinion regarding my wifes situation. She is currently on H4. She was on H1B before some time back which she had stamped in India itself. That H1B expired. She moved back to India. After 5 years now she applied for new H1B and got it in the quota. When the dates advanced we applied for her EAD. We were hoping to get it in 60-70 days. Now its been 75 days at TSC and no signs of approval. She had job offer based on EAD since we thought might as well use that. Now we are thinking she should get her H1B stamped because we dont know when her EAD will get approved. For that do you think going to Canada for stamping is safe. She has a Bachelors degree from India. Or do you think going to India only is thesafe option. Mainly I asked was I did some search and found out that its safest in Canada if you have US/Canadian Degree. Is that true or I am wrong and its safe for everyone. Thanks.

If the H1-B came with I-94 attached to the I797 form, then your status would be H1-B from the day written on the I-94 form. From that day, you cannot work with the employer A without filing another H1-B with employer A.

Some members quoted that they hold a second H-1B. Because these second H-1Bs do not fall under any quota, this is a USCIS given gift for us, considering how slowly they process our applications.

The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. The general quota has 7,700 visas of 65,000 remaining as of December 31st and the rolling four week average is now running at just over 1500. My 140 was filed for a future Team lead position. I am currently a Sr Sw Engg with the same employer. The job description is nearly the same. But I am not sure how this little quirk effects my AC21 eligibility. When does my 180 day start counting ? From filing date or from the date I get the Team lead title ?

Well this is a peculiar case:
My OPT started may 15 06. I started working for my present employer from July 06 and we missed out on last years qouta and I was sure that they will apply for this years. Today my manager calls me up and says that we CANT. Now I am in a soup. May 15 -- Oct 1 break and on top of that I need to find a consultant who can sponsor me visa at this time. These are my questions:
1. I can get my general qouta H1 done by a consultant. So if I goto India, will there be any problems while stamping ??
2. Whats wise?? staying here, getting a new I-20 or going back to India ?? Because 4.5 months is a long time and I dont think I can afford the expenses here.

i have been offered a job at my current research centre where i worked as a student. I want to go back to my home country. The job can be done online and does not require physical presence in the USA. Will i still need an OPT? or can they employ me as an international worker? if they wmploy me as an international consultant then what are the ramifications for teh company? wht is the legal procedure? will they have to pay taxes more etc?
Please help

I recently got my H1 3 yr extension based on I-140 approval, I want to change my job to company B but my employer Company A says that he will have to revoke the I-140(as per company attorneys), Will this affect my H1 extension(as in will I be out of status?) and can I retain my PD?
Also does anyone know a good lawyer I can consult over the phone?
