This is really a bad news especially for those whose PD is between 2004-2005.Its like those who are waiting for a long time are being asked to wait more!!

Well this is very confusing.
What if a person files the I-140 after May 15th and his/her I-140 is approved. Later assume that I-485 date becomes current for that particular person (before Oct 2008), he/she files for the AOS/I-485 (before Oct 2008). While the I-485 petition is pending the date Oct 2008 comes what happens then? Will this nulify the filed I-140?
Thanks
My labor was approved 8 months ago. Although i submitted all the documents to my attorney 5 months ago My employer is yet to file. the fact is i am eligible to file for 140/485/ead/ap. So now i am stuck. Will this affect me.Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that my EB3 I-140 got approved today. I am a July 2007 concurrent filer. This wait has been frustrating and I've had to let many good opportunities pass by. I had, in the last 2 months, opened 2 service requests. I am not sure if they did the jobor may be the time has come when we will see July approvals coming in hordes.
Good luck to all of you.

Did anybody notice this in the IRS communication that was sent out to taxpayers:
For taxpyers, the amount of money will be "reduced" or " completely phased out" for individuals making adjusted gross income or more than $75K ( or more than $150 if married and filing jointly).
How about that?
Not surprising. People who earn $75K (single) or $150K (as a couple) are not the ones who drastically change their lifestyles because of recession or high gas prices. In fact these people are anyways earning much above the national average. It's the low/middle-income folks that bear the brunt of high inflation and soaring gas prices...they are the ones being goaded into spending.
Anyways, think twice before you spend the rebate foolishly. Why not send it to IV, contribute to an IRA or fund your kid's 529 plan?
Thanks,
Jayant

Seeing ur quote I remember another quote..
Though What I am going to tell is not in the context of D.C.Rally
Late Indian Prime Minister P.V.Narasimha Rao has a great quote, which he often quoted to reporters at interviews, where he was silent on many burning issues of his time and later used to say
"Not taking a decision also a decision."

My PD is Dec. 04, and my I-485 was filed during the july fiasco in 2007. My PD was current since March 08 until it will become "unavailable" in June 08.
My attorney got update from Nebraska SC in May stating "Your case is in queue for green card." Now what will happen to my case since EB-3 ROW will be unavailable in June? Does that mean an IO once opened my file after March and will close it without processing any further because of the change in the June Visa Bulletin?
I am confused. Please share your insights and experiences.
Thank you.

Challenge is USCIS. Thats OUR ONLY TARGET.
So we stop the porting, you think you will get your Green Card quicker?.
I say this again, stop this, focus all your energy on USCIS. Dont waste on talking EB2/EB3 when you know it wont really fix the issue.

Yes, you are right! The Indian parent should have given their retirement a very high priority than their kids education. There are millions of middle class parents who didn't care about their retirement but worried and planned for their kids future by spending not only money but also precious time.
I am not sure, I think you are being sarcastic to my post. If someone's dad gets cancer, whats your advice? He should bring him to US to the best cancer hospital and spend life's saving on him? Personally I have been very fortunate. My parents took care of their retirements and financial affairs as well as my education. Very lucky indeed. Despite all this, I have told my parents that I would not be able to get treatment for them in US but would provide best possible one in India. Is this being ungrateful? No. Everyones life comes to an end.
I also said that if someones parents need financial support they should make it a very clear requirement at the time of arranging marriage. Like my maternal grandmother was bedridden due to medical condition for about 10-15 years. So when her son got married, it was a precondition that she will be part of the family and that the daughter in law will have to adjust and support her. One girl (my aunt ) accepted it, and lived happily with it as her duty. So it all depends. Different people different experiences.

Do you have your 485 approved ? If not, you are not supposed to contribute to any political campaigns. You have to be a GC holder or citizen to contribute to political campaigns. Its illegal otherwise.
Well, I don't know what is happening with my I485. I took my Infopass appointment early morning 7.15 AM on July 2nd. My Priority date became current(PD-11/08/2004). I was quite happy that it became current. Our applications are with San Jose Local Office. We completed our interview on October 2005. At the time of our interview our priority date is not current and no visa number available. The IO said that whenever our PD becomes current they will approve our case and send the mail in card. We moved to San Jose and our case files are transferred from South Portland Maine to San Jose.
Long story short, we went to San Jose office and told the IO that our Priority date became current and he has the VB that has all categories current. He said that he is going to pull the files out of inventory room and send to the IO the same day and he will approve it. We are aware of the fact that VB is going to change. So not sure how to take the information given to us. Will they approve as he said? or will they take it out and wipe the dust off and put it back for dust to collect again. I am disappointed, angry, helplessness. It is just 1 hour work that is all it takes to approve and I am waiting for past 2 years. Anybody in the same boat?? What can i expect from the response. What should i infer - approve or dust collection. Anyways my company is asking me to relocate to Beijing or Mainz so I will consider seriously after consulting with my wife.
Logiclife, I had contributed before for Senator Kerry campaign in 2004 too. I don't think that is wrong is there?

Please contribute IVians. We need your support to lobby for the current bills which have been introduced.
My perspective on contributing to IV, is that I would gladly contribute $100 if there was a chance that I can get my gc a few months faster because of the efforts of IV.
Got GC Stress??
Contribute To IV Today!!

Hi ind_game,
For me, 1. I-140 approval in September, 2007 (actually 09/04/2009 as I have the hard copy) has typo. I think your 09/04/2009 should be 2007.
Please correct.
My apologies........Can I correct the thread message now........it looks I cannot.......anyway here is the updated....thanks ak_2006
Here is the scoop.
from US Congresswoman's office, an immigration specialist spoke to their liaison at the Nebraska Service Center.
Liaison confirmed the following:
1. I-140 approval in September, 2007 (actually 09/04/2007 as I have the hard copy)
2. I-140 revocation in Feb, 2009 ( he has not provided the day of the month, but from LUD I have it strongly pointing to 02/03/2009)
I have not told the Congresswoman's office about the I-140 revocation. Just mentioned that it might have happened as I have left the company.
3. Liaison did confirm that even after the I-140 being withdrawn I am eligible for adjustment thru AC21.
4. Liaison did agree that if the I-140 was revoked within the stipulated time given in AC21, Nebraskas decision to deny the I-485 may have been in error. (which in my case is true)
Immigration specialist at the Congresswoman's office is going to contact the Director of NSC to review this matter with a supervisor
Unanswered questions:
1. If the Liaison can see that my I-140 is approved on 09/04/2007, why is that the adjudicating officer is responding with a denial on 09/04/2007 and subsequent denial of I-485?
2. Are they both not looking at my information with same interface?
Conclusion:
Atleast in my case it looks deliberate and intentional.

She recently announced in her campaign that she will increase the H1B visas
She also made a statement that she will try for more benefits for permanent residents.
She does not want to support only the people who are in the process of immigration???
Whats up with that.

Thats after she wins the election..!!!
