Started working since - Aug 2005
First H1B screwed up by employer in 2005, applied new one in 2006 April
Transfer of labor (dated Dec 2006) in April 2007
Labor approved before July -2007 fiasco but did not apply I-485 to get married and be with family.
Married and Wife came on F1 - Aug 2009
Sticking with the same employer since 2005.
Waiting for my priority date to be current and hoping coming July will bring cheers.

Then there is nothing much we can do. We have to wait on them or checking LUDs on your I-485 case. I can understand your feelings. I wish you Best of Luck.

guys! who have those documents/letters being sent can you have a scanned copy of these documents/letters so that others can just download them and attach them with their email instead of cut copy paste and format. May be the administrators can have file/document section some where on the site so that people can grab the documents and send out to whoever they want to

Also wanted to point out that the "dual intent" provision of the H1-B will be removed by this new CIR bill which will make matters worse for the people with I-485 pending as those applications can be rejected based on that.:(

This is not true. I-485 will never be rejected based on that. However, you might need to show you have strong ties with your home country if you ask for an H1-B at the consulate abroad.

What can we do about it ? I knew 3-4 guys who ported from EB3 to EB2 and even got their 485 approved because of this, during August.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. We are on a roller coaster ride and we need to cool our heels. The two amendments to help ease retrogression are already in two of the senator�s bills. Let's push that on through. We can later on use our imaginations to solve any �bigger" immigration issues.

This is very bad . considering the fact that people have been put in to this endless wait of retrogression. FY2006 they wasted 11k visas and the whole year dates were retrogressed for most of the countries

There are many people who have contributed and will be contributing again. But can I know how would more money would have helped convincing Senator Sessions to say "Yes" for the bill??
I am not sure if more money would have passed the bill in Lame Duck session without Senator Session approving it. Also, the lawyers ask only for the service they render to you. They dont ask money for keeping your application with them and unable to process because of retrogression.

They are very prompt in answering questions.Such posts will only create roadblocks to the momentum created on the forum by some of our members. It is time to help rather than ask. Never goto ICICI bank. Only crooks and criminals are working there. No ethics and only inhuman treatment. My friend took a home loan from this bank and he is suffering now.

Looks like my employer will fill up the 7001 form but how about the main letter. Does that needs to be signed and addressed by employer as well ?
Because the Link for 7001 doesn't talk about sending a separate cover letter.

Your employer does not need to sign the letter. You can sign the letter. On section 12 of the form 7001 mention " please see the attached letter" and then include the letter to be mailed to Ombudsman's office.

pretty soon they will start requiring photos from worksite to prove that employee exists and that the company exists and is present in the US. LOL :D (I think this was a requirement for H1B...may still be a requirement):rolleyes:
Just to let u know, during my H1 processing, my H1 was thrown back to my lawyer asking them to send photographs of my workplace and co-workers, server room, my desk. I had to use an entire disposable camera for the same. To make things even funnier, i was not even the First one to be on H1 in my company. We had atleast 7-8 H1's at one point in time. The reason given for a throw back was, that this company seems quite new and small.
I know this is off topic, but since someone has raised this point albeit in jest, i thought i should let people on here know that UCSIS has it's own whims and fancies at times. So if something similar has happened to you in the past know that you may not be alone. :)
